Ann Kerry is a qualified teacher and taught in schools for many years. She was one of the first female heads of Design and Technology in a secondary school after the launch of the National Curriculum in 1988.
Ann holds an Advanced Diploma in Food Safety and Hygiene, an MSc in Food, Management and Nutrition, and is a trainer for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. She developed the training for the “Food in Schools” programme, assisted with the development of the training for “Let’s Get Cooking”, and provided training for HMI’s.
Ann went on to be the Senior Education Officer where she recruited, trained and managed the teachers at Focus on Food whilst managing the fleet of Cooking Buses. She was honoured with the award of a Teacher Fellowship from the Savoy Education Trust.
Since 2011 Ann has been employed directly by the Open Futures Trust as the cookit Strand Manager.
