Nick Chandley

askit specialist

Nick is a qualified primary teacher but has experience of all age groups, from nursery right through to FE, including working with parents.  Since leaving the classroom he spends his time promoting philosophical enquiry around the country and beyond, leading training courses and conferences as well as helping schools and other institutions to strategically embed an ethos of enquiry.  He has a vast amount of ongoing experience too in working with pupils, evidence of which prevails throughout his courses.

He helped develop the incredibly successful CBeebies programme What’s the Big Idea? and has worked with the BBC on a number of other projects.

Nick is lead trainer for askit and also manages the partnership between Open Futures and SAPERE.   He has written many resources and his recent book, Philosophy for Children through the Secondary Curriculum (Chandley & Lewis, Continuum), continues to sell around the world.
