Growing and Cooking CPD course is a two-day residential CPD workshop, developed specifically for the NUT, which looks at how the practical skills of growing and cooking can support learning, specifically in primary maths and science. Day 3 is designed to support and embed this learning and will take place on Thursday 22 June.
At the end of the course, you will:
Feel equipped with the skills to use gardening and cooking equipment safely
Understand how horticulture and cooking may enhance the curriculum
Learn how to create a productive school kitchen garden
Feel confident in planning engaging lessons which enable independent learning and the acquisition of fundamental life skills and knowledge
At a follow on ‘Embed’ session, we will look at how you have ‘Developed’ practise in your schools’ setting, and learn how to secure future success.
