Real-world skills

Underpinned by the thinking skills developed through askit are three practical sets of activities for schools to embrace, centred on horticulture (growit), cooking (cookit) and digital filmmaking (filmit). Often the different skills are applied together but they can be used to develop all areas of the curriculum. Some of the best examples of creative curricula have used Open Futures strands to engage pupils in learning in imaginative new ways outside of the classroom.
