Introducing askit and an enquiry-based approach to Learning and Teaching

Roger Sutcliffe, Founder of SAPERE, the UK Charity for Philosphy for Children introduces askit, a pedagogy, empowering and effective for both children and teachers. Askit enables the children to reflect on the skills they are practicing. If anything was wrong with the slogan 'Learning through Doing' it was, that, you can do and do and do but if you are not reflecting on what you are doing and asking the right questions then you may not be learning anything. Good questioning feeds into all areas of the curriculum. Watch an askit session and hear from the staff about how the approach has impacted them, the children and the curriculum.
